Rotarian Home Exchange Fellowship

We want to remind all of you of this disclaimer: This Fellowship operates in accordance with Rotary International policy, but is not an agency of, or controlled by, Rotary International.

Julia and I continue to take advantage of the Rotarian Home Exchange Fellowship. Last year we traded homes with a British family. They were not Rotarians but had contacted us because our home was listed with our partner, www.HomeExchange50plus.com. Their son lived in California, they offered us their comfortable two bedroom second home near Paphos, Cyprus. The photo shows me on their terrace. I had never considered Cyprus but after checking it out on the web discovered an island with Turkish, Venetian, Greek, Roman, and older ruins, forested mountains, fabulous beaches and coastal views, and a sufficient number of winery tasting rooms to keep me entertained for weeks.

We attended the meeting of the Rotary Club of Paphos-Aphrodite one evening. This club happens to meet in English, though the program that evening was also in Greek. There was an interesting mix of Cypriot natives and expatriates/retirees, many from the UK. We loved the island, the locals were friendly, the tavernas and wineries offered delicious products at low prices. The Roman mosaics were world class as was the scenery, for example the Avakas Gorge.

Our fellowship has about 60 members, I notice that some listings lack photographs. Please post photos, they help Rotarians understand you and your home.

Our partner, www.HomeExchange50plus.com is planning an upgrade of their website soon.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions regarding the Fellowship or home exchange. Please share your Rotarian Home Exchange experiences, we would love to read about your insights and adventures.
